I am supposed to share 7 random and/or weird facts about me…game on!
1. I am allergic to ALL poultry (chicken, turkey, duck, etc) and even some other random meats like salami (but I can eat pepperoni??). This is problematic for several reasons:
- My birthday is ALWAYS around Thanksgiving (November 21st) and guess what everyone is eating? TURKEY…with turkey stuffing and mashed potatoes with turkey gravy and green beans cooked in turkey fat (ok I may have lied about the green beans, but do you see the problem here?)…ON MY BIRTHDAY!
- You know when you are talking to someone about a new food you like but that person has never tried and then that person asks, “Well what is it similar to or what does it taste like?” What is ALWAYS the response???…“It tastes like chicken.” Well, I have no idea what that tastes like!!! I feel like I have been seriously deprived of good food!
- Guess what else I cannot eat? Eggs (actually only the egg yolk because that is where the fats and proteins are stored). So I can only experience the joy of egg white omelets…BUT I can have whole eggs in cakes, bread, etc…weird right?
Does this count as 3 facts or just 1??? Anyway, I digress…
2. I hate coffee. Instead I only drink green tea, white tea, or chai tea lattes.
3. Walking around without socks or shoes gives me the heeby jeebies, and for that matter, I have to sleep in socks even in 104 degree Dallas weather.
4. I have platinum blonde hair and dark brown eyebrows which lead people to believe that I dye my hair…nope it is all natural.
5. I LOVE Häagen-Dazs chocolate ice cream bars with the dark chocolate coating and I have to eat them in a very specific way. I have to pick off all of the dark chocolate hard coating from the chocolate ice cream bar. Then I eat the ice cream and then I eat the dark chocolate coating. It is quite a process…did I mention I am OCD?
6. I love red grapes, but I dislike anything grape flavored (jelly, juice, candy, cough syrup).
7. No matter how hot it is outside I have to workout in sweat pants or those tight spandex pants…never shorts.

Now I’m craving a Haagen Daaz ice cream bar. Dark chocolate and ice cream are two of my favorite hobbies.

Allegeric to poultry?? You poor thing, hilarious but so sad about the tastes like chicken comment! One year you should be able to choose the entire Thanksgiving meal!! That Haagen Dazs, dark chocolate, ice cream…looks so good! I think I need one!
Just caught up on your postings and am uber jealous that you get to meet Giada! I echo your sentiments completely and expect a complete play-by-play on the meeting! (Complete with descriptions of how tall she is, what she is wearing, etc.)
Alergic to poultry?? I would be in trouble as I don’t really eat red meat! And I feel you on the workout pants

Was such fun to do. I was laughing out loud when I read yours! Had an old coworker with the SAME poultry affliction… He called Thanksgiving “Ham Day” instead of “Turkey Day”. lol May I recommend a Tofurkey this year? I’m sure that’d go over REAL well in D-town. Ha! 
MY BIRTHDAY IS NOVEMBER 21, TOO!!!!! I am squealing with delight, even though it is very 13-year-old-ish.
