It is time again for Weight Watchers Wednesday!! How did everyone do this week??
I was extremely concerned about coming home for the holidays because I was sure I would fail on my eating habits and exercise routine. My mother’s cooking also does not help the situation. She makes the most delicious food so not only is it ridiculously tempting for me, but my mom also gets offended if I turn it down. I warned my mother before I came home that I have started Weight Watchers so I will be preparing my own meals and I would appreciate her support. For the most part my mom has kept up her end of the bargain with only a few snide comments.
Why is it that people feel the need to judge you or offer rude comments when you are trying to be healthier or lose weight? I know several of you have mentioned that you have friends that are not as supportive as you would like. That drives me crazy!!!
Mr. Mojito and I have gone to the gym every day that we have been here, and I have even been able to stay well within my Weight Watchers points. I got on the scale at the gym this morning and it said I had lost another 1.5 pounds!!!! I have my official weigh in tomorrow so hopefully that 1.5 pounds was accurate!
I received several emails about how my jeans shopping went, and I am happy to report that I found a pair of jeans that I love!!!
And it is official…my theory about jeans sizes was confirmed!
I tried on A TON of jeans and all of them fit differently. Here is a breakdown:
Sevens: size 28 for most but a few were a size 29
Hudsons: size 28 and 29
Citizens: size 30
Joe’s Jeans: size 30
It was so annoying constantly having to try on three different sizes of the same jean just to figure out which one would fit! Ultimately I decided on a trouser jean by Seven for All Mankind.

Good for you on the jeans–it’s a total pain in the ass jean shopping. I dread it more than anything. I also understand your mom situation, but good for you for sticking to your guns. My mom always made me feel guilty too- “but I made your favorite cookies, just for you.”

Major congrats on continuing to shed! I think the snide comments are from a place of jealousy. Regardless of what they think of themselves, if they aren’t actively doing something positive with their life, or are trying and failing, they are jealous of you as you succeed. hence the comments.. or at least thats how I’ve always seen it.
Congrats! After three weeks of slowly putting a 1.8 back on (Thanksgiving, holiday parties, etc.) I lost 2.2 this week! I am buying a new pair of jeans on Friday when I get to Dallas! That was the only thing I told my step-mom that I had on my must-do list!! I am going to make time for my WW post tonight when I finish packing.
Sevens are by far my favorite brand of jeans–they are so comfy and flattering. I love the Dojo style you got, they are definitely the next pair I want.

Yay for losing even more weight! I love that pair of sevens. I have the same pair but had to have them hemmed. Todd’s grandmother used to make the meanest comments about me being on weight watchers. Ugh!

I love the jeans you chose! I tried on some sevens this past weekend and they didn’t fit. I don’t think they are made for girls with big booties
Then my husband was like “why don’t you try some Apple Bottoms, aren’t those made for girls with big butts?” to which I said “shut up honey!” I think he’s been listening to too much rap music or something…..blah…..

Hang in there with the snide comments…my mom is the same way towards me when I ask her not to feed my son too much junk food. I think our moms sometimes feel that they show us love by feeding us…even if it’s not the healthiest stuff. You’re doing an awesome job and hopefully some of your health-consciousness will rub off on your family members. Glad you found some great jeans!!!

I bought a pair of Seven for all mankind jeans that I am getting for Christmas from mom and dad and I tried on different styles and they all fit different. crazy huh! oh well. as long as we are comfy right?

I too have noticed the little catty bits from people when I’m trying to lose weight. Oh well! You’re doing it for you, so that’s all that matters. Oh, and I have those exact jeans and love them because they are so universally flattering!

The jeans are super cute! I know what you mean about the sizing. I have 2 pairs that are the same brand, same style, just different washes – and one is loose on me while the other is tight. Nice, huh? Oh well, nothing that is touched by human hands is ever perfect or exactly the same.
And LOL about your Uggs!!!! Is it okay if I tease you a little bit?? I know they must be comfy and warm, but they’re like slipper-boots!!! But I’m glad they made you happy!

How exciting! Losing any weight around the holidays is HUGE! Love the jeans, hate trying them on. All the designer jeans are so mis-sized. I have so many pairs that are no where near the size of each other, even if it’s the same brand! Ridiculous. Very cute though and I’m sure you look fantastic in them.

I don’t know if you are interested or not, but I just purchased a great pair of Hudson Jeans on ebay and they don’t fit. They are a 28, brand new with the tags on I paid $35. I was going to re-list them, but if you’re thinking you want another pair I’ll be happy to send you a photo. I love them b/c they sit a little higher on the hips than a lot of jeans, so you’ll never have a muffin top!
