I cannot find my engagement ring. I took it off last night before bed and set it on my nightstand. Fast forward to this morning…POOF the ring is no where to be found.
I have literally torn my bedroom apart looking for it. My wedding band and David Yurman ring were still on the nightstand but no engagement ring.
Did a pixie fairy come steal it during the night?
Did Oliver eat it?
Did it grow little ring legs and run away?
I am going INSANE.
UMMMMMMMMMMMM SHIT! Thank goodness for insurance, BUT COME ON, where is it???????????
ETA: After recounting my steps it appearsĀ I did not wear my ring to work yesterday (apparently I thought I put it on out of habit but didn’t actually do so as Mr. M pointed out) nor did I wear it this past Thursday-Sunday (I was sick so I stayed in bed). The last time I remember wearing it was last Wednesday evening at Oliver’s puppy class where I think I may have taken it off and forgot to put it back on.
Did I mention I am an idiot?

Oh no!! I had this happen about a week ago and (thank God) found my ring. I went to sleep with it on (which I never, ever do) and apparently took it off at some point during the night in my sleep. We found it in my pillowcase… I hope it reappears very, very soon!!!
My worst nightmare!! I hate to say it, but you might want to check Oliver’s puppy-poo or get the little cutie x-rayed.
Oh crap! That’s happened to me before. It makes you feel just sick! I hope you find it!!
Sending a long distance prayer to ya.

i did this once with a ring my now husband gave me when we first started dating. i lost it for 4 months – had given up – then found it in the pocket of some pants… after we had moved to a new place. i now call the pants my magic pants. i hope you find it soon!!
Oh no!!!!
I’m with Emily; check little Oliver’s poop. Dogs eat weird stuff sometimes. I hope you find it; that wold drive me crazy!
Oh no! One of our cats is a major jewelry thief – I’d look in Oliver’s favorite spots. Pets like shiny, sparkly things.
Sidenote: ONCE YOU FIND your ring (you will! you will!), this is a great excuse to get an adorable personalized ring bowl from etsy to help protect it from pesky four-legged thieves.
Eeek…. I’m sure you’ll find it soon! Just relax and THINK. Maybe something happened in your sleep that will come to you today.
oh no! That is my worst nightmare! i AM sure you will find it! It’s in the nook and crannies. I doubt Oliver ate it. Good luck!!!
Hmmm… I’m thinking the Mr. took it. Maybe my husband is the only one who likes to teach me (funny?) lessons? Too bad they’re only funny to him!!
Boomer ate an earring one time… not anything expensive but puppies do funny, funny things! Check the poo! Otherwise, I bet you’ll find it in your bed sheets – mine fell off when I was asleep last winter and it took us a crazy 45 minutes, but we found it!
oh my gosh i hate that feeling when you lose something there is NOTHING worse! I hope you find it! I’m sure it will turn up! Figures crossed
OHhhhh I’m so sorry! You WILL find it but I know that’s an awful feeling. Gut renching. This happened to me a little over a month ago. I couldn’t find my set for a full 19 hours. I had heartbreakingly come to terms with the fact that I was going to have to turn to the insurance company when my boss insisted she look in my car… that I just needed a fresh pair of eyes. She found in in my cup holder UNDERNEATH the coaster! I haven’t taken it off for any reason since!
Good luck.. it’ll turn up. Just try to stay calm!
Oh my gosh!! I’m so sorry!! I’m sure it will turn up. I “lost” mine and it appeared in a drawer in the kitchen. How it fell off in the drawer will forever be a mystery to me.
My money is on Oliver Pancake… I would keep your eyes peeled when you walk him!
Also, pray to St. Anthony – he finds lost things
Hope you find it soon – you may have to check Oliver’s deposits though just in case!
)
Oh no – please let us know when you find it! Maybe hubs stole it so he could add some more diamonds and give you a big old upgrade or something????
My advice is have a friend help you look. You think you looked everywhere but a new set of eyes just might see something you didn’t.
Ask me how I know
oh no!!! i hope you find it – i can’t imagine!!!
i linked you in my blog today
Oh, girl……. I soooooo hope you find it!!!!!
Oh no!!! Good luck!!! What an awful feeling!!
i’ve done that before with rings and earrings. i put the on my nightstand before going to bed, wake up to find they’ve disappeared and i feel like i’ve gone crazy ripping apart my bed trying to find it. what usually ends up happening is i somehow knocked it off with a pillow while i was sleeping and it slid under the bed. hopefully you’ll find it soon!! good luck!
OH NO! I hope you find it girl!
The good news is: it has to be in your house. It is there somewhere, and you WILL find it!!!
Oh no…what a nightmare! It’s for this reason that I almost NEVER take my rings off. Good luck & keep us posted!
Oh Girl, I hope you find it! That and I hope you don’t have to chase Oliver around picking up his shit for the next couple of days. Keep us posted!
OH NO! I hope you find it soon. Sending good thoughts your way!
My grandmother once lost hers out in the garden. 7, yes SEVEN years later, she found it again.
You’ll find yours too. Once you do, I suggest putting it in your ring cleaner (or a jar full of windex) with a lid each night. That way it will both safe AND clean in the am.
Good luck.

Oh that is terrble. I am so sorry! It HAS to turn up somewhere, right? I mean, maybe keep an extra close eye on Oliver–maybe he ate it and its bound to show up (a la Marley and Me when he ate the necklace) in the next day or so? Either way, I am so sorry.
Oh no! I hope you find it!
Oh no! I’m sure it will turn up!
Oh no!! Maybe Oliver ate it? Can he reach your nightstand? You’ll probably get home from work and find it sitting right in front of your face! (hopefully
)
Ahhh! This is one of my worst fears. I hope you find it soon!
Pockets, I always find my ring in my pockets. Robe, jacket, jeans….
My dog ate hubby’s wedding ring, then barfed it up an hour later. So yeah, it might be worth making sure Oliver Pancake hasn’t decided on a precious metal snackeroo.
Well, maybe hubby went took it to get cleaned for you? Or upgraded… maybe?
Or check Ollie poo for it…
My husband just lost his wedding band today!!!!
Oh no! I hope you find it!!
I followed the dogs around for a week when my engagement ring went missing last year. I was just sure one of them ate it. But then after I finally broke down in tears in front of Mr. Perfect about how it had “gone missing”, he walked to the back and got it out of his safe. Turns out he was trying to teach me a lesson about where NOT to leave my ring.
I’m not sure how I didn’t kill him.
All that to say, it will turn up. I hope you find it quickly though!
I love lable ” Mr. Mojito is going to murder me”… it will pop up, I’m sure!
OH.NO! Take deep breaths…and keep searching! There’s no way it could too far!
BTW, LOVE the tag
That is crazy. Props to you for still being sane this evening, because I would have driven myself crazy by now. Let us know the second that you find it!!!
Oh NO! Good luck finding this! My mom’s diamond fell out of her engagemnt ring a few years back. It was in an airport so there was no hope in finding it. I am glad yours is in your home, my fingers are crossed!!!
you poor poor thing! the hubs “lost” his one time – we found it under the bathroom rug days later. it will turn up!!!
Have you thought about renting a metal detector? That’s how my friend’s husband found his ring when it was lost. Good luck!
Uh Oh, some puppy ate it for dinner.
Any luck? This happened to a friend of mine last week… she was inspecting her puppy’s poop for days and finally it turned up under a bin in their closet, somewhere she swears she had already looked 10 times. Just keep looking under, over and in every nook and cranny (and pray)… your beautiful ring will turn up!!!
That stinks. I read your tweets and had hoped that you found it by now.
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this. I wish I was there and could come help you search!
I really hope you find it! I have literally throwed my rings in the trash before after drying my hands and then rings off in a paper towel. Once, right before we were leaving to visit family for a holiday, I couldn’t find my ring and I thought I was going to die (my insides started hurting -major panic attack!). After a frantic search of everywhere I had been getting ready… I found it, I had sat down the toothpaste container (the one that stands up) perfectly over top of it (who knew their was a round hole at the bottom)- I really thought it had went down the sink or something and it was gone forever. Good Luck!
Bless your heart!!! I lost my engagement ring a month ago and I know exactly how you feel. It is gut-wrenching terrible. Yaya for insurance. This is silly, but you have checked your bed sheets? I will keep my fingers crossed you find it super soon. Xoxo-BLC
Oh no! I have my fingers crossed for you. I just lost mine on Sunday and had to second guess whether I’d worn it on the plane back from Mexico. Luckily, I found it in with the pile of laundry to do!
I am so sorry, I really hope it turns up for you!
Poor Thing! Have you stripped the bed? One of my clients vacuumed with pantyhose over the unit to help filter, too…Good Luck!
