It is official. Me and my dear friend Erin at Blue-Eyed Bride are twins. We both planned on doing “Ask Me Anything” posts on the same day.

My fiance and I are looking into adding one more to our soon to be family. We were looking at getting a Cavalier puppy. I have been doing some reading and noticed they are known to have serious health problems and most don’t live past the age of 10. That’s the only thing that worries me. What kinds of questions did you ask/what did you look for in a breeder?
How did you get so into swimming? Was it just something you liked to do? And also, where can I find a swimcap that won’t get my hair wet?

i see others have asked you questions about this- so i thought i’d add a few on the topic! do you feel like you’re “rejecting womanhood” by not wanting kids? do you feel like something is wrong with you because you don’t want them? do you worry that one day at age 45 you’ll wake up and regret not having them? do you ever have moments where you are 100% completely utterly convinced that you are NOT crazy for not wanting kids? (I only ask these questions because as you know, I’m a 30something that does not want kids, and it has been hard for me to find others who are in my camp! but i often feel crazy, and I don’t know if it’s because of the comments i get from people, peer pressure, society or what. i feel 100% certain i don’t want them, but one of my biggest fears is waking up when i’m too old to have children and regretting our decision.) argh. talk to me, girl!
What is your usual response when people ask you “when are you having kids”? My husband and I do not want kids and get that question on at least a weekly basis. I haven’t found a good response yet that doesn’t invoke the “oh just have ONE, you’ll change your mind!” response.

I have a couple of questions:
1. are you going to post pictures of your “replacement” engagement ring? i loved the first — can’t wait to see the second. Did you ever figure out what happened to the first one?
2. Would you ever consider writing a story based on a plot that someone gave you (not really ghostwriting because it’d be under your name but similar) or even co-writing a story.
3. How’d you get into blogging?

Holy Crap!! Some people are so rude. My question, did you always feel like you wanted to be a writer? I really enjoyed writing poetry when I was younger…whole angst filled teenager/young adult time period, but I kinda let it all go as I got older.

I love your home decorating style! Where do you get ideas? Do you keep track of them in a binder/folder or anything like that? I live in an apartment now and don’t love the way I decorated it (I think I tried to go too manly because my boyfriend lives with me) Now I know he doesn’t really care as long as it is comfortable! Do you do most of the decorating or does Mr. M help?
PS Don’t let the haters get you down…I think it is awesome that you are honest about not wanting to have kids. Kids are not for everyone and I feel like too many people have them just because it is “expected.” The same goes for other life choices like getting married etc…

Okay, it’s simple. I have managed to learn BEB is Erin, and I learned Nicole early on, but for the life of me, I never have heard a peep of your name. We don’t have to load the stalkers up, or anything, just a first name.

I’m not thrilled about some of the rude comments left on here. The very best part is that these people left themselves as “Anonymous”… real guile they have, eh? I think everyone here has asked just about everything that I wanted task…but I did want to say that I totally relate to your decision about kids. While we have made the decision to have kids, it has crossed my mind ALOT of times about not having kids (it still does).
