the birds and the bees

Side note: Chapter 17 of Somewhere In Between Us has been posted. Happy reading!

My sweet, cuddly, loving puppy has officially become a full-fledged hormonal teenager in the blink of an eye.

Mr. Mojito’s grandparents bought us an Oliver Pancake look-alike stuffed animal. Wonderful idea in theory. BAD IDEA in practice.

Oliver will not stop molesting it. At first all he did was chew on it, but as of today he has discovered the basics of the birds and the bees, only he is dry humping a stuffed dog that is both male and bigger in size than his tiny body. Awesome. Hopefully getting him neutered will solve this problem.

This video doesn’t show any full on dry humping, but I thought it was cute nonetheless. If I can catch him in the act on camera I will be sure to post it. I am afraid I have a porn star in the making.

gap born to fit and a giveaway!

by Mojito Maven on August 11, 2009

Side note: Chapter 16 of Somewhere In Between Us has been posted. Happy reading.

What happens when three hilarious bloggers put 55 materialistic, clothes hungry women (and a few men) in a room with free denim from the Gap, cheese, Firefly Sparklers, the best sangria on the planet, cupcakes, spanakopita, salsa, guacamole, chocolate, and “Gap Born to Shop” M&Ms?

An all-out, free-for-all party reminiscent of Isla Fisher battling it out over the perfect pair of Gucci boots in Confessions of a Shopaholic.

Kate, Slynnro, and I were lucky enough to be chosen as Gap Brand Enthusiasts from Brand About Town.

What does that mean exactly? We get to preview and give away free shit to people for the next year. Helllloooooooooo amazingness.

First item on the menu? We hosted a Gap Born to Fit party showcasing the Gap’s new denim line. From other fellow bloggers to wonderful husbands to best friends to old friends to new friends, we all bonded over a fun-filled evening of drinking, eating, nakedness (well only in the dressing rooms), and laughter.

a gaptastic day

by Mojito Maven on June 8, 2009

Side note: Chapter 8 of Somewhere In Between Us has been posted. It was an incredibly difficult chapter for me to write so for those of you who are reading my story, I would really love to know what you think of the latest chapter.

Has anyone checked out The Gap recently? Seriously, it has got some GREAT stuff right now.

Most of you know I am a Banana Republic, Nordstrom, J. Crew wearing kind of girl. Typically I only shop at The Gap when I am in need of basic items like camis, t-shirts, and shorts, but after taking a trip there this weekend my opinion has completely changed.

I saw no less than twenty different items I would immediately buy if I was either Ms. Moneybags or married to Daddy Warbucks.

Right now, The Gap has an AWESOME collection of both casual summer dresses that would be perfect for lounging around on a Saturday afternoon and fancier dresses that I would definitely wear to the next installment of Champagne Thursdays.

Take this dress for example:

Wouldn’t it look awesome paired with a silk scarf? I thought so, hence why it, as well as said scarf, are now hanging in my closet.

I also picked up this dress in both the royal blue you see pictured as well as one in white and gray. I wore it this past Saturday night when Mr. M and I went to dinner with friends! I love how it is a halter dress, but still nice enough to wear to out on one of our weekly date nights.

Sadly, my face and hair were not doing this dress justice so what remains is a picture of myself looking similar to those creepy ass mannequins you see in store windows.

What is even more tragic is that I was not able to find this dress online which means that you’ll need to hit up your local Gap to buy it. The dress comes in four different colors so there are choices to fit every personality.

I also picked up these black Bermuda shorts and royal blue top. I actually wore both to work today, and when I arrived home I was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Mojito told me I looked hella sexy! It totally made my day!

Seriously, go there. Now.

You can thank me later.
